ABOUT

EVERYTHING STARTED WITH A WHITEBOARD

My name is Alex, and I want to welcome you to my foreign policy website. Like millions of Americans, I too was appalled by the withdrawal from Afghanistan. I was starting my second year as a master's student at Liberty University when the last U.S. plane left Afghanistan on August 30, 2021.

The next morning on August 31, I grabbed a small whiteboard, brought it to my usual spot in the library, and simply titled it "American Hostages Behind Enemy Lines". The picture you see on the right was my first whiteboard. From that day on, I redrew the whiteboard every morning from Monday to Friday. The board would be up until closing each day. I did that for the entire academic year. As the year progressed, the board got larger, and the information became more rampant.

Over the course of the year, countless people (many now great friends of mine) stopped by the board. Each day, I would take questions, explain the situation, and offer my projections. I am very grateful for the encouragement from so many. I clearly could not have done this without God giving me the strength and motivation to continue.

Now that I am a recent graduate (Class of 2022), I launched this site to spread knowledge by offering an in-depth analysis of U.S. policy. Several of my friends have been encouraging me to do this digitally for months. One of them recommended I start a website. I began working on this website a couple days after graduation. Now that the website is launched, I hope you explore the site and learn well. Thank you.
